What do you say when a woman you’re interested in says, “I have a boyfriend”?

Well, here are a few ways a guy like you can react.

  1. Pursue Her Anyway

I’ve seen some guys do this, maybe because they think it’s “alpha,” or maybe because they think the girl is lying to them. As in, “There’s no way she’s dating someone else who’s not me, so I’m gonna go for it anyway.”

Bad move, my friend. Stunts like these don’t come off as confident. They’re arrogant and abrasive.

  1. Walk Away

This is where I’d say 99% of guys fall into.

She says she has a boyfriend, so you just walk away with your head hung low in defeat.

You tried, and you failed — that’s your mentality.

But again, this isn’t the mindset to have.

Just because a woman says she’s got a boyfriend, that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the story. There’s no reason to walk away yet…

I just read an article by David, about why men lie. It was one the worst articles of advice I’ve ever read. He blamed it on women causing men to lie. I wish the internet had a slap button to slap someone through their screen…for having put that out there for women to read and for those who might believe it.

Meggan, I couldn’t find that article you read, but I think I know what David was talking about in his article “Why men lie” and how it is women’s fault. I think men lie to women because they want to avoid any drama and scene, some women may create, if men told the truth. For example, a man can hardly say to a woman that he was at the baseball game with his buddies, when he cancelled weekend plans with his girlfriend to visit her parents. Or that he ran into his old female friend and then went to the movies together or out to the restaurant. Many women would make a scene and question their man to death. So it’s easier to make up some other acceptable story. But….it could be the other way around, and a woman could lie to her boyfriend, too, if she thinks he will create jealousy scene. It’s just my opinion.
